We respect masks!

Governor Walz has ordered that all people inside retail businesses in Minnesota must wear a mask, effective July 25. What effect will this have on Beagle and Wolf? Absolutely none! We’ve been requiring masks since we reopened to the public on May 20. We appreciate your help as we work to keep our customers and our staff safe! We continue to offer curbside service, free delivery in Park Rapids, online ordering, and mail delivery, as well as in-store shopping.

Independent Bookstore Day is August 29

More than mere stores, independent bookstores are community centers and local anchors run by passionate readers. They are entire universes of ideas that contain the possibility of real serendipity. They are lively performance spaces and quiet places where aimless perusal is a day well spent.

In a world of tweets, algorithms, and digital downloads, bookstores are living, breathing organisms that continue to grow and expand. And they are at your service.

Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Oops, this year it was postponed to August 29! It will be different from previous years, and we’re still finalizing our plans. Watch our Facebook page for details, and plan to join us!

Rock Bottom Remainders album Hard Listening

Are you familiar with Rock Bottom Remainders?

Rock Bottom Remainders is a band made up of several of your favorite authors, including Stephen King, Dave Barry, and Amy Tan. Critics have said “they have one of the world’s highest ratios of noise to talent,” but that hasn’t stopped the group from releasing their first music video, in support of independent bookstores.
