by Nicola Yoon 

Who says young adult books are only for young adults?  I loved this author’s first book, Everything, Everything. The Sun is Also a Star was a National Book Award finalist this year!

A book I'd like to give:

Storm's Coming
by Margi Preus

I'd love to share this book with the children in my life. Sophie lives with her family on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Her awareness of nature tells her that there is a storm coming and she is spreading the word. This book is a beautifully illustrated snapshot of a unique time and place.

My choice for a two and a half year old great-grandson who loves trains. This is a  book that will be read many times.
