Firefly July Selected by Paul B. Janeczko / Illustrated by Melissa Sweet Firefly July is featured in the Kids’ Next list for Spring. I was very excited to see this book of poetry illustrated by one of my favorite illustrators, Melissa Sweet! The poems selected by Paul Janeczko and illustrated with Melissa’s beautiful and bright collages of color bring to life the four seasons. With thirty-six very short poems, young readers have an opportunity to capture the sights, smells and feelings of each season. One of my favorites:
