Frozen
by Mary Casanova
Frozen is a Young Adult novel set on Rainy Lake in northern Minnesota in the 1920's. The main character, teenager Sadie Rose, is trying to uncover her mysterious past. The story gives readers a sense of the history and culture of the times as well as a suspenseful story. It was the perfect read for a January weekend!

Timmy Failure: Now Look What You've Done
by Stephan Pastis
A year ago, we fell in love with Timmy Failure, the clueless 11 year old detective. Here’s the trailer for the second book in the series—which we’re eagerly awaiting. The books are for readers 8-12—and adults!

Hollow City
by Ransom Riggs
Hollow City is the second book in the series Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It’s as engaging as the first, with very odd vintage photographs, children with unusual abilities, a quest, and a struggle of good against evil. In this book, Jacob and his new friends escape from their island and, after a series of adventures, arrive in London in the 1940s. My favorite part is the chickens who lay exploding eggs—but only when they’re excited! Ages 14 and up.
